  Our group of family and friends love this house, it is so convenient to the slopes and is a nice size and layout for our group with a mix of adults and young kids. We have come for two years in a row and plan to continue coming.
  
  The house will only lose a star because the appliances need to be replaced. The fridge froze all of our fruits amd vegetables which was of course not ideal, the stove had a few burners not working properly which felt dangerous since it is a gas stove, and the oven was very temperamental and was constantly turning itself off.
  
  Other than the appliances, the house was clean and wonderful and we are excited to come back!

  We arrived to check in after dark and keys and a map were left in the office, in the dark the cabin was difficult to find and we may have taken some roads that weren't intended to be traveled on because it was dark! Please make sure you are prepared and have 4wheel drive weather can change quickly and Tucker County gets alot of snow! The cabin was beautiful and well stocked with board games and firewood. The views were gorgeous!

  Stayed for a long weekend with some friends - our second time at Timber View. Nice cabin with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for a bigger group - loads of space. Check-in was simple and the cabin was clean on arrival. Kitchen is nice and well-equipped. Beautiful view off the back deck. Nice location on Timberline Mtn, short drive to Davis. Two suggestions for improvement for future guests - the mini-split A/C system upstairs is confusing; please provide some written instructions up there for operation. And a few light bulbs out here and there - upstairs bath, master suite closet. Overall, fantastic place. Looking forward to returning in the future.

  I and four friends stayed for a long weekend at Timber View to do some mountain biking around the area. The location of the rental is perfect...central to a number of great mountain biking trail systems and very close to Davis and Thomas. With six bedrooms there was plenty of space, and then some, for all of us. The kitchen was well appointed and all of the appliances were in good working order (save for the dishwasher, but more on that later). We were happy to see the addition of a Keurig coffee maker in place of the espresso machine pictured in the listing. We appreciated the ample supply of firewood for the fire pit, and the views from the back of the house are amazing!
  
  We did have some suggestions that could make staying at Timber View a bit better. First off, the mini split HVAC units in the upstairs were confusing. There was only one remote for the three units, and we assumed there would be a remote for each. So getting the temperatures set correctly in each room was somewhat of a challenge. Some of the furniture in the main living room was a bit worn (the chairs mainly) and a tad uncomfortable, but not terrible. A few ottomans or footrests would be nice, too. There were also some issues getting the dishwasher to work. Some detailed instruction on some of the appliances (other than the Rokus, for which there were very detailed info sheets) would be beneficial. Lastly, We've stayed at similar rentals that use keyless entry, which we find much easier than managing one or two sets of keys among large groups who may be striking off in different directions during the day. But we made it work.
  
  Overall, it was a great weekend and we highly recommend Timber View. We'll certainly be back!

  We were so very pleased with the house and all of the contents during our eight days stay. The house itself was very well equipped with most everything you could think of. I loved the three floors because you never got under each other's feet and everyone had their own space!   I was very disappointed in the condition of the house
  There were many dead flies & lady bugs lying all over the house. The window sills were full of them and they were on the floors. We could not take our shoes off I had to sweep them up as best as I could We did not have hot water!! The maintenance man did come really fast but showed us how to keep fixing the problem by leaving a private closet open for us. This is an ongoing problem This house has the potential to be really nice but it has a lot of worn out furniture. Our trip was a great one but this was a first for us to experience a problematic house with Best of Canaan

  This was the second time we've stayed at Timberview. The location is great with a short walk to the slopes and easy access from mid-station. The gathering space for a large group is great and the kitchen functional with two ovens. The main downsides to the house are the noise and the cleanliness. The floors between levels have no insulation, so you hear every footstep, conversation, and movement of the person above you. Adding an additional rug to the upstairs bedroom would be helpful. The house was a little more clean this year, but still frustrating to find a tip envelope for the cleaning staff on a credenza full of dust and crumbs!

Lights throughout the home were either VERY dim, or just didn't work at all. Road was in very rough condition.

  This was our second year renting this house for the same weekend. The rental agency was responsive to problems we encountered. The location is fabulous. The many ensuite bathrooms is a great design. I would stay here again if the hot tub was larger and in a different location. It's ideal for 2 adults or small kids and is tucked into an enclosure. For skiers who wish to visit and tell stories after a long day, it's too remote from the living spaces (hint- can't supervise chidren) and too small for 4 or more adults to enjoy cocktails.

  this home was clean and in a good location. there was plenty of space for everyone to have a place to gather. the outdoor patio on the bottom level is very nice and spacious. Some of the mattresses on the beds could certainly be relplaced, but some were comfy. One burner on teh grill did not work. the hot tub was great. The only reason I would not recommend this property is because it is noisy. I don;'t mean traffic or outside noise, I mean inside noise. Everything is wooden. Large wooden doors, large wooden steps, wood floors and they all creak and bang. Two bedrooms are right below the kitchen dining room area. those sleeping in these rooms hear every chair scooting, every cabinet door opening and every step taken on the floor. the top stairs going to the upper level creak like in a haunted house. No matter how much you try to tiptoe. WE were sleeping in the room below my mother. She walks with a cane. When she got up in the night to go to the bathroom is sounded like someone was pounding a hammer above our room. If you have a group and they all plan to go to bed at the same time and awaken at the same time, or they are heavy sleepers then yu won't have any issues with this house.

The house is spacious, clean, and well partitioned to accommodate a multi generational large family like ours or allow for multiple families to live together. One of the larger tables out there - this is the thing that frustrates us everywhere else. This one can actually accommodate all of us. The slopes are about 200 feet away, a 2 minute hike. The sunset views from the house were amazing, and we enjoyed watching the wildlife! A fawn was born in front of the deck while we were there. Overall, the house is nicely furnished with comfortable beds, lots of towels and blankets, and plenty of kitchen stuff. What was sketchy was the TV and internet. It was being addressed while we were there, but we did go the week without sufficient wifi that 4 of us were dependent to work on. However, the rental company did try their best to make it right with us. Generally, the house was clean and ready for us, but there were a few minor maintenance things in the house that it seems could easily be addressed (including the dishwasher). The grass was high making the fire pit unusable when we arrived. We called, and again, the staff got the issue addressed. Then, we could enjoy the fire pit area and roast marshmallows. We used the hot tub one time, and it was clean and functioning well. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

  This house was very clean and well stocked with firewood when we arrived. The views from Timber View is really breathtaking and the house is very comfortable for either a large family or 3 or 4 couples. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out with two separate living rooms. The outdoor space was really nice and the fire pit was a lot of fun during the cool mountain evenings.

  The property was as described and pictured. We were on a long ski weekend, and the ski in/ski out location was perfect. It is a beautiful home with plenty of space. The professional staff made for a seamless check in and check out process. Our only complaint was the cleanliness and condition of some of the indoor items. We had to run all glasses trough the dishwasher before using them as they were dirty...the tops covered with a layer of dust. Many pieces of silverware had food remaining on them. Most of the bed comforters were dirty and damaged...a couple in the bunk room had holes all over them. We had to wash all pillowcases before sleeping as they were covered with hairs and dust. The floors under the beds were caked with dust and dust balls. As said previously, we loved the property, but there are serious cleanliness issues that made us uncomfortable and took time and energy to correct.
