Even less experienced skiers will feel confident on this designated blue trail. When it is time to slow down it’s easy to separate from the teens and tweens. In every season Dew Revue features a bonus room with an extra-large TV plus a foosball table.   We were 4 senior couples+1, and enjoyed our weekend at DR. While the house was pretty clean, our ladies left the house much cleaner than when we arrived; scouring the sink, kitchen trash can and dirty dish towels/oven mitts. WiFi was often spotty and had to be reset often. The shower door in the main floor bdrm was also falling off, so wasn't used. On the +side, the house was roomy and comfy and we'd go back.

  We've stayed in several slope side homes over the past few years - this was by far our best experience. The house is well maintained and equipped. Best of Canaan is a joy to work with and absolutely superior to other local rental companies. In my experience, Best of Canaan allows for a 3PM check-in (others are 4PM). Best of Canaan rentals provide firewood (others make you purchase overpriced & wet wood). Best of Canaan removes trash for you (others make you dispose of trash yourself). Great house, great experience. Dew it!

  Every year my family converges on Canaan Valley for a reunion. I picked this house for it's ratio of beds to baths. Upon arrival we found that the house was air conditioned. There was no mold smell--something we have encountered many times in the past.   My family has been vacationing in Canaan for more than 30 years and this house was the nicest so far!! Lots of space and a huge deck to enjoy the beautiful weather. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you needed to cook and enjoy our time here. The house was clean and comfortable. The only things that were not convenient was the stairs into the house with my elderly mother and a hot tub would be nice. But like I said in the opening line.... Best house yet.

  We enjoyed a mini family vacation at Dew Revue, so close slopeside you could literally ski onto the side deck! The house was well equipped and suited our needs and comforts. We did not leave the house for any other reason than to ski. Only downside was the jacuzzi in the master bedroom did not work. (Would have been nice for these old bones!) Everyone was very nice and helpful. We would definitely go back.

  Loved this house! A lot of living space so that we didn't feel on top of one another. The furniture seemed new and really attractive. Kitchen was well appointed. Best ski in/ski out house by far. Our skiers missed having a hot tub but all agree we are renting this house next year!
  Best of Canaan was friendly and very responsive. Request for more wood was taken care of promptly.
  One suggestion is that not having access to bottom floor entry was cumbersome. Especially since it had snowed and stairs were covered, icy and slippery.

  When we arrived at the house, we discovered that we could not use the garage or access the house from ground level. We had to climb two flights of stairs that were icy and snow covered. This was a very unsafe issue for my wife and I to carry suitcases. We are both in our 70’s. I called and was told someone would come and clean them off, but that never happened. The deck was also unusable as it was snow covered when we arrived. Everything inside was great as was the location.

    Hi Kim, Unfortunately not every home owner allows their renters to use the garage due to storing their personal belongings. Please always check the amenities before booking a vacation rental. We do apologize no one showed up to shovel the steps. Maintenance must have been caught up at another job. A quick reminder call to our office and we could have resolved that in no time.   There were some pros and cons. The main floor was nicely updated and we loved that the table seated 10. The fireplaces with wood provided were a nice touch. The location was very pretty in the Fall although a bit remote. However, the basement, which had 3 of the 5 bedrooms, smelled badly of mold. It bothered our friend's asthma, and we had to leave the windows open all day to try to air it out before sleeping with it at night. The security alarm was broken and started beeping every night in the middle of the night at two different times. Both times my husband had to get up to disarm it. We were told after that the owners were aware but couldn't get anyone to fix it, yet there was no warning or details of how to disarm provided, we had to call to get help. Also we were told on the app to check in at one location, and then told that we were at the wrong location and to go down the road to check in. This information should have been updated on the app. Finally, we had to load all of our trash from the weekend into our already-full cars when checking out and drive it 3 miles to a dumpster or be charged a $25 fine. I have never had to do this for a rental, and there should have just been a trash bin provided on the property.

This rental was under a different company when you made your reservation and due to them shutting down we acquired it last minute before your stay without being able to change out the information in the house and we apologize about the confusion with everything. Best of Canaan does not require you to bring your trash with you when you leave. We will definitely be getting the alarm fixed and the smell in the basement. We very much hope you will come back and see us here at Best of Canaan for a better stay.
