  Upon arrival, we were pleased with the layout of the property: kitchen and living room were good sized, bedrooms were spacious, nice fenced-in yard for our pets. The location was convenient to businesses in Davis (most within walking distance). There was a local playground that the children enjoyed. Also, all of the people we met in Davis were very kind. We really enjoyed this trip!!

  Rental house was wonderful for traveling with a baby. It was clean and cozy. It also had amenities which were very helpful: a sled, a high chair, a baby gate, even a really sweet collection of kids books themed around West Virginia. The location is amazing—walking distance from everything in downtown Davis, quick drive to ski resorts.
  
  The only negative I would give would be that the King Size bed needs to be replaced. It’s so soft it’s unsleepable, so we ended up sleeping in the Full Size bed which was very comfortable.
  
  The management company did a good job of resolving our issues when I called but seemed a little annoyed to do so, like when I asked for a shovel. (When we arrived it had not been shoveled up to door so we couldn’t open door until we borrowed a shovel from a neighbor.)
  
  Overall, I would recommend this place for a family traveling. And if they replace the King Bed, we would love to come back again.

  We had a wonderful stay at Cavie House! We (and our dog) enjoyed spending long mornings and evenings relaxing on the front porch. Located just a few streets from downtown Davis and a short drive to Thomas, the house is the perfect "home base" for exploring all the Canaan Valley area has to offer.

  Property was really nice. Just remodeled, nice spacious yard and very close to downtown Davis. We enjoyed walking to the shops and restaurants, as the house was only two blocks back from the Main Street in town. The house is pet friendly, which is nice, however we were disappointed in the lack of cleanliness and pet hair on the couch, chair and beds. It didn’t appear that the furniture had been cleaned at all since a dog had been there.

  We recently stayed here to ski and Timberline and really enjoyed our stay.. The house was clean and well maintained. The kitchen was fully equipped and location was adjacenf to Davis town center. Overall, nothing to complain t about.

  I rented the house for visiting friends and we were all very pleased. Very well stocked,had everything we needed and very clean. Great location, easy walk to the restaurants,etc in Davis and just a short drive to Thomas and Canaan Valley. The staff at Best of Canaan were great to work with.

  This house was just as advertised. Clean, cozy, and bright inside, including the bathroom. We especially appreciated how pet-friendly it was! It's located in a nice quiet neighborhood close to downtown Davis and a short drive to Thomas and nearby parks. Highly recommend Blackwater State Park and Hellbender's Burritos!

  Our stay in the Cavie house was wonderful! The house was inviting for all of us, even for our 2 doggies. Everything was extremely clean and the kitchen perfectly equipped.
  There were kids books with beautiful stories about WV which my son loved. There were a lot of board games and we spent great family times while it was raining outside. There is a public playground and basketball courts one block away, that my son enjoyed in the evenings. They even had towels and blows for the dogs. And the restaurants and main attractions were just two blocks away, perfect for a nice dinner and a short walk back home.
  
  I would definitely try to reserve this cabin for future trips

  My friends and I do a yearly stay in the Davis area and have never been able to land a spot downtown. This location was amazing! Just a block from downtown, we were able to walk to grab coffee and a bite to eat before heading out for our day's hike. The house was very clean and had more than enough room for the four of us(could easily have fit 6). The fenced in front yard was perfect for the dog, and they had a towel right inside the door for his paws. Will absolutely stay here next time!
