Winter visitors must have all or four-wheel drive vehicles with winter tires or chains.

  Cedar Dome is a wonderful spot where we have stayed multiple times over the years. The house is kept well, clean, and stocked with pretty much everything you’d need for some time away in the beautiful Canaan Valley area. Cedar Dome is the perfect getaway place, and we will continue to stay there in the future!

  Nice house in private location, but the were a couple issues such as it was obvious that no one checks on the property prior to guests checking in as the house smelled very musty and bathrooms had spiderwebs, spiders all over and dead bugs in the tubs so those had to be cleaned land the air conditioning doesn’t work well if at all upstairs. We made it through part of the night the 1st night and even with opening windows it was so hot we ended up having to sleep on the couches the remainder of our stay. Definitely not ideal but made the best of it. I would have thought that someone would check on the condition of things prior to guests checking in but definitely looked as if no one had been there in awhile.

  Cedar Dome is a great ski cabin. Clean, convenient to the slopes, private, firm mattresses and an operational hot tub. Since the loft doesn't have a door it is not listed as a BR but this place has more room than advertised, it was very spacious for us (4 adults, 3 teenagers, 1 toddler). Our thanks to the owner and management.

  nice house. hunting in caanan valley was good. trapping was even better, 1 mouse. driveway entrance is a hard turn with a longer truck, no big deal, could put a wider flare ,would make it easier .stone work on fireplace is excellent, I should know, I am a mason.

  The house was in a great location. Secluded but still close to the entrance to timberline. The house was stocked with all the essentials we needed and the hot tub was great. The lawn/property is very muddy, even with dryer weather. If bringing dogs make sure you have something to wipe their feet. They were starting to do some updates to the house, but it could use a few more. The house could have used a good deep cleaning to get rid of some of the lingering dust. But the linens, towels, and dishes and overall house were clean. It was a great house to stay in!
